Preparing an sql statement that way is slower than just doing it this way,
if I remember correctly. I try not to do the prepare unless I have a
highly dynamic statement that really needs it. I'm hoping for a way to
see it while using this method. I think there might be a problem in the
fact that I named the columns of the table Key and Value which are
reserved words in SQL. So I'm currently working on changing the column
names. Man I wish we had a RENAME COLUMN ability...

I always string/construct my SQL statement (in your example the Select
portion) into a large (2000) byte variable so I can see exactly what it's
value is.
