Subject:
[WDSCI-L] Windows 7 and RDp
Our department is gradually migrating to Windows 7 PCs. Our
understanding is that WDSc 6.0 and WDSC 7 will not work for that. A
couple of my colleagues tried to install WDSc 7 onto newer Windows 7
PCs, and it would not even load. As a solution, we've been advised to
install RDI IBM Rational Developer for Power System RPG and COBOL
Development Tools for i. I have heard that even when installing RDp
onto a Windows 7 PC, there can be some issues to be addressed. Any
tips as regards a successful install would appreciated.
We have seen various licensing levels ranging from $645/User to
$1,510/User. Can someone please spell out what capabilities come with
each licensing level? Is the CODE400 screen designer module built into
the RDI? We'll probably use RDp for RSE.
Thanks
