Hi,

There is! You need to set it up first. (I just tried it with WDSCi v7.0.0.8, so the instructions might have to be adjusted for other versions.)

1) Go to the Windows menu and select Preferences.
2) Type "Keys" into the search box at the top of the left-hand pane.
3) Click the "Modify" tab in the right-hand pane.
4) Select the Category: "Views" and then the Name: "Show View (View: Remote Systems)" in the top half of the modify tab.
5) Select your key binding in the bottom half of the modify tab. I use Alt+Shift+Q, R (just click in the key binding box, press the alt, shift and q keys together, release the keys, then press the r key.)

Whenever you press Alt+Shift+Q you get a popup (after a second or two) showing what the next key press will do (e.g. press E for a quick way to open the iseries error list.) but you don't need to wait for the popup if you know which key you need.

After the above steps, pressing alt+shift+q and then r will open the remote systems view. Then you just make sure the view is already set to "fast view" in the perspective you are using.

Best regards,
Paul

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Add keyboard shortcut to pull up a fast view?

I have a few views that I put into fast view such as RSE, snippets, etc.

Is there a way to create a keyboard shortcut that will pull up RSE without
having to always grab my mouse and click on the fast view icon?

Thanks
