I have seen this at one user where some 50% of the staff experienced
this problem (slow verifier and Outline refresh) even though the
machines were identical and the OS images too.
The only difference - and the cause of the trouble - was that those
who had the slowdown had accepted the default for their workspace
(i.e. in My Documents) and that directory was actually on a central
network drive. When a verify takes place (and outline uses verify) all
of the cached files and copy members were being pulled from the server
and the resulting network traffic caused the slow down. They copied
their workspace onto the local hard drives and the problem went away.
Don't know if that is your problem but ...
P.S. In explorer it looked as if MyDocs was on the C drive but under
the covers it wasn't - some kind of sym link I guess.

My programs do have copy directives. The lines copied is less than 25.
