Jerry,
I have not used WDSC auto formatting and auto closing of structures. I
hated having to delete an endif everytime I wanted to wrap a block of text
in a new logic check.

1. Type the 'if' up to the semicolon
2. Press and hold left CTRL
3. Press Enter. Voila, no 'end'

I always had a lot of trouble with the syntax checking because I don't
write every line perfect.

I vary between turning the syntax checking off and on. Mostly when I
have to do something silly like recover a chunk of code from a spooled
file (compiler listing) and need to shift all the limes about before
they're lined up properly.

I must admit to always turning the formatter off for embedded SQL.
There aren't enough options to make it look like I prefer, so I
brute-force the formatting myself.
