Hello Mihael,
I just looked at the current version of this editor. Really nice work.
Have you thought about hooking the remote explorer into SVN
(Subversion), so that the source members could live in a SVN repository
or a Windows directory and could then be uploaded and compiled to the
iSeries only as needed. One of the compiler properties for a source
member could be: Send To Source File/Library.
We've been doing a lot of work with SVN and this would make your editor
very compelling to use for regular development if I could manage my
source members in SVN and push to the iSeries only as needed for compile
or building.
If you're interested in some outside feedback or assistance I would be
happy to provide some input as we're looking for a good way to use SVN
as our source repository and your editor could provide a nice vehicle.

Perhaps you want to give RPG Next Gen Editor
(
http://rpgnextgen.sourceforge.net) a try if you don't want to go back
to SEU. I can't guarantee that it will work on V4R4 but it has no check
for supported/unsupported VRMs.
