RSE Version 7.0.0 build id 20070202-0030 on V5R4 - both RSE and V5R4 are
reasonably current.

I've modified three RPGLE programs (two are SQL RPGLE) to extract some
common D specs and four 'shared' subroutines and put that code in a
copybook.

Compiling the SQLRPGLE defaults to debug view of *LISTING and for the
RPGLE I had to specify *LIST for the debugging view.

Then when debugging using an SEP, the debugger seems to flake out and
doesn't always return or execute the line I expect. It seems like it's all
over the place after the first or second time the view switches to the
copy member and then back to the parent source member.

I've been through the preferences but am not sure if I'm missing something
to correct this.

And yes I know the subroutines in the copybook should be in a service
program but that's a project for another day. Right now I just want to
alleviate having to maintain three programs if I can put the shared code
in one copybook and maintain it there, but testing it is difficult as I'd
like to be able to step through the code to ensure it is indeed being
executed as expected.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Regards, Jerry
