Is anyone using RDi and pointing the workspace to a location on the
IFS via a drive mapping? We have been doing this with WDSC for a few
years because we would get the workspace corrupted on occasion and
when we use the IFS they can backup up nightly and we can restore a
workspace and save some time. We just started using RDi 7.5 and are
having problems with developers who are using the IFS for workspace
but not on those using local C: drive for workspace. The RDi errors
are not consistent but do only happen with those using IFS
workspaces.

I'm not. I suspect the performance hit would make an already slow RDI even slower.

As for protecting my workspace ... I just keep my workstation backed up solidly (using Norton Ghost).

I've had to recover workspaces before and had no problem.
