The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
FYI...Also to add to Eric's explanation, you can't use SEP on OPM
Languages etc... OPM COBOL. They have to be compiled in ILE. Which is
our issue since mostly everything we have is compiled in OPM COBOL, so the
SEP doesn't help at all. I am assuming :) that most of the people
wondering about if WDSC/RDI will help also have most programs compiled in
the OPM way. Not saying you can't recompile everything to ILE, it just
takes time and effort to get everyone to be okay with that. I still use
WDSC and love the editor/debugger and would never want to use SEU/STRDBG
on green screen, but some PDM options(speed), STRDFU I still find my self
using. We probably won't go to RDI until we have to.

Okay, what is SEP? The only SEPs I know about are the Stanford
Encyclopedia of Philosophy, simplified employee pensions, and solar
energetic particles.

Service Entry Points - This is a newish (V5R3+ I think) interface to the
system debugger. It takes most of the hassle out of invoking the
debugger, even in batch processes. It works by registering the program
object AND the user profile it will be run as, to the system. Whenever
that object is invoked by the appropriate user profile, the system
engages the debugger. SEP debug is fully supported in the WDSCi 7.0
product.
