Hi All,

We do a lot of work with Service Programs. Almost every project
involves procedures to handle new functionality or simplify old
routines.

Because of this, we often will be working on both the programs and the
service program modules side-by-side in RDi (7.1). Inevitably I press
Ctrl-Shift-C to compile only to see that the wrong compile command was
used last. I do have separate compile commands for modules and
programs, so that I do not need to prompt all the time - but RDi always
selects whatever you used most recently for the source type.

In RDi I decided to setup a new source type, SQLRPGLEM. All I needed to
do was associate it with the proper parser and define the compile
command. Now my service programs always get the correct compile command
because of their unique source type... So all is good.

Now here is the PDM part: Is there a way to teach PDM a new source type
and associate a compile command? I have not found one, so I thought I
would ask here. I know I can create a custom option, but wanted to make
it more transparent if possible.

Thanks,
David
