The parsers for CL and RPG have a setting for automatic syntax checking:

Windows->Preferences

Remote Systems
+Remote Systems LPEX Editor
++i5/OS Parsers
+++(parsers for the various languages)


On-demand syntax check options:

1. Select syntax check (line or selection) from the LPEX context menu
2. Select Verify from the Edit menu
3. Compile (my favorite!)
