Thanks for the Quick response. After an hour of searching the help
text, I also found that.
But I just found the better fix. Quick summary of what I did, and then
the better fix:
I created my own of "If" Template which now appear and works with
CTL+Space.
And when I have disabled the original shipped "IF" Template, it still
auto-Entered "ENDIF" unless CTL+Space is pressed.
So then I found the other rule hidden in the Parser that is the default
behavior, and which I should have modified instead.
At the next level up, marked ILE RPG, there is a setting to change
( not at Window > Preferences > Remote Systems > Remote Systems LPEX
Editor > iSeries Parsers > ILE RPG > Templates )
there is a checkbox labeled "Automatic closure of control block" with
the choice of Style dropdown box, for: ENDXX or EndXx or Endxx or
endXx or endxx
I assume this applies to both old "C" style Calcs and Free-form.
Also, what is the preferred style that is prevalent? CAPS on
block-ends, which appears to be the default?
What is the way everyone typically writes freeform?
