We have the same problem with our connection to our remote server
(development) which we're on mostly with Rdi (WDSC). However, our
network engineers fell that 20 minutes should be the threshold for
reasons I'm unable to recall clearly. I often wondered if creating a
plug-in of some sort which does nothing more than ping the remote server
once every 10-20 minutes would do the trick to keep the connection
alive?
