I watched the recording of Don Yantzi's latest www.systeminetwork.com webcast about debugging last night. It was very good and covers all the basics you need for debugging with WDSC/RDi. He concentrated on RPGLE and RPG mainly, but CLLE is debugged in the same way with the same tools as RPGLE.

It is available as a streamed video 24/7, apparently. You need to give a few personal details to register, but not quite as far as your shoe size and favourite food. :)
It is sponsored by Arcad, but the odd plug here and there are not too intrusive.
Best regards,
Paul
PS I'm not associated with IBM, SystemiNetwork or Arcad - I just thought I would spread the word.

Buzz,
Double-click on the variable for which you want to see the value. Then
right-click and choose 'Monitor Expression' from the pop-up menu. It
should activate the monitors view. In the Monitors view, you can also
click the plus-sign and type the name of a variable to monitor.

[WDSCI-L] Debug & CLLE
Folks,
It's my 1st attempt to debug a CLLE program (1 subprocedure, complied as
a
*new activation group) and am being informed (in debug view) that I need
to
be using the monitors tab instead of the variables tab in debug view. My
search in the help section isn't too promising when it comes to learning
(i.e. hand-holding) how to use program monitors. Can someone please
point
me towards some documentation on how to debug a CLLE program?
