The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

Funny, I was getting that as well. Although now I'm back on port 4300.
I had created a new workspace. Now my connections are taking a lot longer to resolve. Generating outline views are taking so long I have to stop them. What could be causing this sudden slowing down ?

Run netstat /a from the command line on the PC - see if port 4300 is in use by another application.

Thanks for the tip. In the meantime I needed to reboot, which (of course) fixed the problem (I so enjoy working on a computer where the primary fix for anything is to shut it off and start it up again). I'll keep that handy for future reference.
I'm with Jon...my next PC will be a Mac!
