Alt Windows -> Preferences ->LPEX Editor -> Save.

It's a maximum line length. I played around with it and decided not
to use it since my source files are different sizes. I like my RPGLE
source files longer so this option didn't work well.

I used Vern's method of setting it when I need the shorter length.

Sharon,

Could you post the navigation to the preference? I have had a problem
with this in the past but never had the time to track it down.

Thanks

Vern,

I found the spot to add it under preferences, there is a save length.
This corrected my problem. Thanks!! I was confused about the "press
escape" bit. I had never seen that little command line before!! You
learn something new every day.

I'm not sure where your 72-character limit is coming from - if it is a
limit. But if you want things to wrap within 72 positions, press Escape
and type the following in the little command line:

set save.textLimit 84

You have to put 12 more than the "record length".

You might also need to turn on auto-formatting - I forget. You could
also prompt longer lines - it'll put them into your limits.

I think!

I am in WDSC V7.0.0.6.

The line I am entering happens to be over 72 chars long. I remember
that the LPEX Editor would reformat it to the 72 column length and add

lines as necessary.

It doesn't seem to want to do that anymore. In the actual LPEX editor,

the ruler at the top of the editor goes way out past 80 when it is a
default source physical file with a length of 92.

If by chance I touch a line that requires more than the 72 columns but

can fit in 86, it reformats it back to one line and the save actually
truncates the line.

What am I doing wrong? What option have I somehow disabled?
