Hit send to early.

Note, the FAC command started our initial menu program, along with
setting some various other things.

So I always used that instead of directly running the program I wanted to debug.

No.

STRRSESVR is the command that ties a green screen session to WDSCi.

Once that's done, you can run interactive commands/programs from
WDSCi. They actually get sent to the session that ran the STRRSESVR.
You can debug it from there.

I used to use it a lot to debug OPM programs.... here's the notes I had:
• Debug server must be started: STRDBGSVR
o Only needs done once unless iSeries is re-IPL'd
• From an interactive session, attach to RSE
o STRRSESVR NAME('Dev - Fire and First Aid')
• From RSE, right click program to debug and select Debug(Prompt)
o On How To Start tab, enter the command use to start the initial menu
 Fire & First Aid: FAC
o Click Debug
• The initial menu should come up in the session running the IBM RSE
Communications Server that you started above with the STRRSESVR
command.

At the last place I worked we didn't have to use this command. WDSC
monitored the program you were debugging and went into debug when you typed
" call programA" on the command line. Is there a job that should be
running on the 400 that let's you debug without using the 'strrsesvr'
command? I really need to debug a batch job and can't get it to work.

WDSC version: 7.0.0.6
