Note that RSE (Remote Systems Explorer) isn't an AS400 specific thing
anymore (or maybe never was?). In a recent download I did of generic
Eclipse I was surprised to find RSE :-) It basically had everything WDSC's
RSE has without the AS400 stuff (i.e. local drives etc).

Makes me wonder if anybody (i.e. RDi competitor) will create a scaled down
version of what WDSC has. I no longer have the ability to tell new contacts
about "a really cool GUI tool you can use to write RPG that you already own"
so obviously my gears have been spinning.
