Okay, now I see what you're getting at, and I was keeping that in the back of my mind. As alluded to elsewhere in the thread, I'm hoping this transformation is a one-off. I need to get some data imported quickly for quarter-end. After that I think I'm going to need to use XML-SAX or modify program for the earlier version of the document (which uses Expat).

Expect to see some questions regarding XML-INTO and %handler() on the RPG list in the near future :)
