Thanks guys, exactly what I was looking for. There seems to be a time
factor when it resets. In other words, once you quit typing for a period of
time, it considers the next keystroke as the beginning. I only know that
because I was reading from a document and delayed my typing, next thing I
know I repositioned somewhere else. Is there a way to modify that delay
time?

Thanks again, Tim

7.0.0.6: Click on the top of your filter, then start typing the name.
This will position to the next member with those starting letters,
regardless of the filter they are in, so if you have multiple filters
expanded, your 'position to' will move between them.

Yes, just click on the first member and start typing. Works just like a
file listing in Windows Explorer.

Personal Plug: I call this feature "Type To Find" and it is included in a
"seminar" I just completed for Mantatech titled "WDSC Tidbits Of Goodies"
which can be found here:
http://mantatech.com/manta/seminar_files/speakers.html. Note they are
working on putting the final touches on the seminar before officially making
it available.
