I won't disagree that a faster connection would be better, but I was getting
250 KB/sec to 350 KB/sec during the download which is acceptable in my book
if they can make the install process easier. On a fast site I can at most
pull around 600 KB/sec.

What is a TRS-80? Is that a new machine that EGL runs on?

IBM team, could this be changed to only require WDSC/RDi to be shut

Instead of that Aaron, how about IBM supplying an update site that
performs at more than a snails pace?

Several times in the past I have downloaded large files from Apple,
MS, and various other vendors - _none_ of them are ever as slow as the
IBM sites.

So IBM - if you're going to send out these huge updates, how about
using something with a bit more power than the TRS-80 that seems to be
running the service now!
