Don't think you do. A web service is a web service is a web service,
regardless of what web application server it runs on.

I will try.

I assumed that I had to create the web service against the server that it
was going to be deployed to.

Can you export the service as an EAR or WAR file and then import it to your
JBOSS server that way?

Yes, I have a web service built from and RPGIV PCML file using the WSAS V6,
and it work great. I can "catch" the RPG with the service entry point tool,
when using the test client.

My problem is that I need to publish this web service to JBoss or Tomcat.
The WDSC wizard won't let me publish it to tomcat because "The service
implementation selected is invalid." I haven't been able to get WDSC to
recognize JBoss 4.2.0 because it can't find javax.servelet.

If anyone has any ideas on how to solve either of these issues, or how to
publish the web service to either of these servers please let me know.

Search for "Creating an iSeries program Web service" title in the WDSC
help. There are instructions for all System i languages.

One thing I found was that the RPGIV "imported" names are all uppercase to
change them to mixedcase use the "service implementation BROWSE..." button,
at the top of the wizards first pane, and modify the interface as desired.

I was thinking more of "yes I have this working with X and Y" as opposed
to "IBM says this will work". It sounds like you have RPGIV working.

I will look in the help to see how they say it is to be done.
