The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Joe - yes SEP's do work with other programs. We did some debugging over
the prior weekend and it worked just like it should.
Frank - yes this program is called from another program. And the caller
does a direct call (not bound or prototyped). But I'll remember ti try to
go into the caller and set a break point where the call occurs and see
what happens.
Peter - we did remove and reset the SEP numerous times, and refreshed the
table view and 'touched' the source code and then recompiled the program.
(When I say 'touched', I've found that sometimes the debugger when it
starts doesn't always show the source properly. In that case I open the
program and update a blank/white space, just to let the editor know the
source has 'changed', and then do the recompile. That always ensures the
source is in synch with the view shown in the debug perspective.) But in
this case the debug perspective never even opened.
She also confirmed with the software vendor that there was no profile
swapping involved.
Unfortunately she's has to pack up her office by Friday in preparation to
move into a temporary location while the University renovates her current
office. We might get to try it again this weekend.
Thanks for the input though - it is much appreciated.
Oh - and BTW - my supervisor told the rest of the staff yesterday that
she'd really like to see everyone using the tool I use (RSE) for
development and debugging <VBG>. Finally!
Regards, Jerry
