We're arguing the costs, but it's good for people to see the great
advancements in the tooling, especially those that specifically affect
the System i developer. I got a look at the Screen Designer tech
preview, and I thought it held great promise. I can't wait to get my
hands on the new version.
I haven't spent time with the Application Diagrammer, but I think there
are people for whom this tool will simply be a godsend. We saw a little
of it in Raleigh, and it's really pretty impressive.
Everyone who wonders why the price may be going up a bit should take a
look at this and compare it to the incremental changes in SEU and PDM
that your SWMA has been paying for for the past several years. You
really do want to subsidize this effort, I think <grin>.
