FWIW, the wiki pages are versioned, so you can see any of the previous
incarnations of the page at any time. The 'history' tab at the top of
each wiki page is how you find the list of changes.
For example, the initial version of the page Buck linked to is available
by following this link:
http://wiki.midrange.com/index.php?title=WDSC_tips&oldid=8494
You can even compare each version to any other to see exactly what has
changed between revisions.
I'd still say that summarizing the linked info is a nice thing to do
whenever links are posted.
