The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Is there a way in WDS to select multiple lines worth of a positional
range (and of course paste them into same)?
Example:
I flag my changes in positions 1 thru 4 (JL01).
I'd like to copy
JL01
from these first four positions, into the first four positions of my
other new lines (without having to do it one line at a time).
Another thing to think about. It sounds like you are tagging lines
after the fact. If that's the case, consider record/playback.
Position the cursor to the first column of the line.
Edit->Keystroke Recorder->Start (or use the green icon in the toolbar)
Type the characters you wish to record. Include the 'Home' key to move
back to column 1, and the 'cursor down' key to move to the next line.
Edit->Keystroke Recorder->Stop (or use the red icon in the toolbar)
Now play back your recording. I'd use the green arrow icon, but you can
also Edit->Keystroke Recorder->Playback
Try doing multiple Playback operations in a row to see how they sort of
chain together. Undo (Ctrl-Z) works with this technique, so if you go
too far you can always back up.
