I got challenged offline concerning my comment about Subversion no longer
being supported on the iSeries, so here is my clarification.

If you go to the bottom of this page you will note that it states there is
"no active maintainer". The previous maintainer was Mark Phippard who is no
longer working for Softlanding and instead works directly for Collabnet
(creator/owner of Subversion: http://subversion.tigris.org/faq.html#collab).
As of my last conversation (instant message rather) with him, he has no
intention of continued support of the iSeries port.

I would consider this "no longer supported" as I stated earlier. Doesn't
mean it isn't solid software, just isn't supported.

Hope that clears it up,

Subject: RE: [WDSCI-L] Subversion & iSeries

I have an article coming out in IBMSystemsMag.com's February 8th issue
describing exactly how to do this (except even better, because it doesn't
use or require iSeries Projects which are a pain in the butt unless you use
them exactly a certain way.). Note that I show you how to connect to a
remote Subversion repository vs. one on the iSeries being that it is no
longer supported.

If you can wait until February it should provide a good foot hold for your
needs.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Subversion & iSeries

I am interested in using Subversion with WDSc and native iSeries source,
most likely via iSeries Projects. Has anyone done this?

The immediate questions/concerns are:
-Can Subversion run on the iSeries?
-Is the Subclipse plug-in for connecting Eclipse to Subversion
compatible with WDSc?
