Thanks Brian,

I think I can get it to work and if I do I'll post the code. Unfortunately
I have to give this a low priority as I have more important tasks.
Someone decided that Christmas should be a higher priority....

I appears the selected list is uploaded into a temporary file. The name of
this temporary file and member is what is passed in variables &ML, &MF and
&MM. I guess your user action has to invoke your own code that processes
the list of objects from the temporary file.

I'm guessing because, although this file was created when I tried running a
run-once user action:

Display Member
Description
Member . . . . . . . . : <my-user-profile-name>
File . . . . . . . . . :
QRSESELECT
Library . . . . . . . :
QRSETEMP
Member type . . . . . . :
TXT

the action fails to launch:

I doubt if you will get this to work..... As I recall, all objects would
need to be specified on the same SAVOBJ command in order to be added to a
SAVF object. You cannot use a series of SAVOBJ .... SAVF(XYX123) as there
is no Add/Replace option to allow for appends.

In WDSC, you have selected multiple objects, then apply your user command.
This runs once for each selected item. When complete, your savf would
only
contain the LAST object you saved to it.

I'm attempting to create a new User Action to save objects to a *SAVF. I
want to be able to select multiple objects and apply the same User Action
to
all selected objects.

I checked the archives and found reference to ML, MF and MM and the Invoke
once parameter when creating the action.

Can I use ML and MF even though MF may not be a file or is there another
way
of accomplishing this.

Thanks,
