Keep on asking about SEP!
I'm dicovering new things each time. I didn't realize u could add the SEP by clicking on the source.
I prefer to have a filter called "my programs" which points to the programs in my developement library. I can then navigate through the program and select a SEP for each procedure I want to debug.
Don't forget, u don't need to keep deleting the SEPs or the breakpoints, u can just disactivate them with a click.
I particularly like being able to right click and run the program up to that point where I've clicked. Also the buttons F5,F6,F7,F8. Especially F8 when you've accidentally stepped into a procedure and u want to get out again.
One more thing : for debugging RPGIII Joe's tip last week will blow your mind!!!

Re: [WDSCI-L] SEP again
Darrell,
Just right click on either the source or the object in RSE and select debug using service entry point. I personally use the source because it's more readily available. Check the source and object locations in the dialog box that appears and click OK. That's it, the SEP is 'set'.
You can run the program interactively or in batch and the debugger will automatically start up.
If you recompile the source just refresh the SEP in the service entry point view.
Rick

Subject: [WDSCI-L] SEP again
Happy Monday to all;
I'm finally getting to the point where I might want to use debug.
I understand I can use sep to debug without having a greenscreen session to get it started.
Is this also for jobs I want to initiat interactive?
Where can I find a list of steps on how to get started with sep.
I know there has been a lot of conversation about it, and I looked thru the archieves, but didn't find anything I considered a concise list of steps.
Appreciate your help.
