Thanks that gets rid of the first line in the command view but still no
error list returned.

look in the preferences under Remote Systems / iSeries / Command
Execution.
The checkbox next to "compile in batch" should not be checked.

I've taken off the SBMJOB, but I still get the same 2 lines in the command
view.

The file EVFEVENT is in the library MYLIB with member MYSOURCE, but no
error
list is returned to WDSc.
If I use CRTRPGMOD or CRTSQLRPGI, I get the error list OK.
