Having said that about Debug I did need to change my User
Profile to have *SERVICE rights to be able to debug other
profiles, but I believe this is fixed on V5R4 OS400.
(This is the sort of tip I would like on the Wiki)

It is fixed (from what I understand) in V5R4. V5R3 PTF SI28283 fixes this
issue. You can set a SEP on any profile to which you have *USE rights.
One caveat: the you must have one of the basic setups of authority to the
other profile (i.e., '*USE', '*CHANGE', '*ALL', ...) and not something
that ends up like '*USER DEF'. A new PTF should be out shortly that
checks the specific object and data authority rather than the brief
'Object Authority description.

Our security officer would *never* allow all of our developers (<grin> not
even me </grin>) *SERVICE special authority. It really is too much of a
security exposure.
