It could be because of shared classes used by the JVM so you can have a go
with this solution though your mileage may vary...

Subject
[WDSCI-L] JVM Start Up Error 7.0

Yesterday I ran into horrible memory thrashing on my PC and I had to power
down. Since then I cannot start WDSC via "eclipse.exe". I get JVM
terminated. Exit Code=1. I cannot see to find a log detailing the errors
and
have determined this is not a problem with my work space since I renamed
and
still have the same error. Strangely, if I directly run "startup.jar",
WDSC runs, however, I ran into out of memory errors. I suspect based on
the
config parms passed in when running eclipse.exe.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Running:
Websphere Development Studio Client Advanced Edition for iSeries
Version: 7.0.0
Build id: 20070202_0031
XP Pro, with 2 G of memory.

Thank you,

Chris
