The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
I have found that issue as well. Maybe our friends at IBM can open an issue for this. I have found disconnecting releases the lock but is very inconvenient.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] iSeries Data Table View locking files
To all,
I just learned the new feature in WDSC 7.0 that allows me to view data
in a PF in the table view.
iSeries Objects -> (Open a filter over PF objects) -> Right
click on PF -> Show in Table -> Data.
This new view is great except that it holds a lock on the file and data.
How do I get WDSC to release these locks without disconnecting or
restarting the workbench?
