From: Bill Barnes

I have a brand new laptop with 2GB of memory and running Windows XP with
all patches and service packs up to date. I am on V7 and updated it
Tuesday.
I have Surveyor, Outlook and a 5250 session open. V7 was installed over
2 months ago and has been updated since then.

Okay. So you've had the package for two days, so let's see how it works,
shall we?

How about it may be
another of those bugs that IBM can't duplicate?

Typically I would try to reproduce the error before I blamed the product.
Windows is a flaky operating system and if you can't cause an error to
happen regularly, you can't automatically blame the program.

The SQL/IF bug has been acknowledged by Nazmin as being real.

Yes it has. They weren't able to reproduce it, and now they are. It's
intermittent and they are working on it.

As I have said, I use RSE and for
the most part like it. I also think it needs a lot more work (like most
Windows based apps) before it is solid.

I don't know. Maybe because I've written Windows applications I appreciate
the work involved and I'm less likely to worry about some errors. But to
me, WDSC is about as stable an application as I've seen; certainly as stable
as Office or even Windows itself.
