The short answer is yes. But anyone who's never been burned by a short
answer should consider themselves fortunate. I would check out the
archives at http://archive.midrange.com/wdsci-l/

There was quite some discussion about doing this--to move all source to
CVS/Subversion means moving it to the IFS. It can work but there are some
drawbacks. Anyway, look at the archives. You can search for 'Subversion
and Phippard' (I think I've got the spelling right.) Mark Phippard did a
lot of the OS/400 port of Subversion and had some good insight on this.

subject: [WDSCI-L] WDSC CVS / Subversion

Hello *all,

I'm thinking about using CVS or Subversion for my WDSC 7. I tried CVS....
Because of that I have some questions...

Does anyone uses WDSC 7 and CVS / Subversion?
Did you move your sources to CVS / Subversion? And is it still possible
to
compile the sources?

Thanks,

Michael
