The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
I'm not sure this problem is related to projects, because I've had the
same situation, and I have no projects defined in the workspace and have
had none since going to V7 (about a month ago). I also have no plug-ins
or extensions.
After a couple weeks of working fine, I would get the Tacit Migration
message on startup, staying at 0% for perhaps 10 minutes before I would
kill it with Task Manager. Then when I restarted the workbench it would
go fine, until the next time I logged completely off.
The last few days, however, it's been behaving. I see the Migration
message for only for a few seconds, then we're off and running. Perhaps
it really had a lot of something to do and I wasn't being patient
enough.

Hi Joe,
I'm not too familiar with the Tacit Migration code. As I understand it,
there is a Tacit migration engine included in the Eclipse WTP that can
then be extended by tool vendors. So I presume it could be hanging in
any
one of those extensions. I'll try to reproduce the problem and run it
through the debugger (I'll need to debug it in order to figure out what
triggers the task from starting). If you (or anyone) happens to have a
specific project you know is always being migrated and want to send it
to
me directly (as a project interchange file) it would make the
reproducing
task a lot easier :)
Thanks.
