I've gone so far as to paste into a scratch file in Lpex, use
column-oriented edit functions, then paste back into Java editor.

Hello Ewout
The Java editor is stream based and does not have the column-based features
that the LPEX editor does. That is why the RPG/COBOL/DDS/CL editing
support is based on the LPEX editor.
So the short answer is that the rectangle selection is not supported in the
Java editor.

I very much like the Select Rectangle option in the LPEX-editor. Now, I am
doing some Java-editing and I would like to use the same Select Rectangle
option. However, I couldn't find it. Did I just miss something, or is the
option really not available? If so, then I would like to suggest this
feature as an enhancement request!
