There is an action "oneSpace" - it deletes any spaces and tabs at and
around the current cursor position and replaces them with a single
space. There is no key assigned to it. You can invoke it by entering
action oneSpace
from the LPEX command line, or assign it a key from the "User Key
Actions" preference page of LPEX Editor. There are not many keys
left... You could try Alt+. - i.e., a-period in the "Key" field,
oneSpace in the "Action" field, and don't forget to press the
"Set" button.
