The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

There is an action "oneSpace" - it deletes any spaces and tabs at and
around the current cursor position and replaces them with a single
space. There is no key assigned to it. You can invoke it by entering
action oneSpace
from the LPEX command line, or assign it a key from the "User Key
Actions" preference page of LPEX Editor. There are not many keys
left... You could try Alt+. - i.e., a-period in the "Key" field,
oneSpace in the "Action" field, and don't forget to press the "Set" button.

Is there a function or existing key combo, in the lpex editor, which will
compress spaces between the current cursor position and text to the right or
left of the cursor?
