The preload is in here because I tried registering the user profile this way
in addition to specifying it in the preferences.

Well, I would say this is where your problem lies ... there's no way for
WDSC to know what class to load for your extension.

The plugin tag needs a class attribute to indicate what to load for the
plugin.
