One technique you can do is to click "ALL" on the find. This shows all
lines that have the search field. Then do the "Replace". I doesn't
give you counts, but may help confirm you are replacing the expected
hits.

When I am doing a find and replace all where do I see how many times it
replaces like the message in SEU. Is there some feature I have to turn
on to see the number of replaces.

Re: [WDSCI-L] Tips for New WDSC Installations

One of the first things I do when customizing a WDSC install is to set
my pet keyboard shortcuts for the LPEX editor. LPEX keyboard shortcuts
are set up in Preferences -> LPEX Editor -> User Key Actions.
<snip>
2 Key: Alt-Shift-S
Action: splitAndShift - similar to a 'normal' split (Alt-S), but
instead of the new line of text starting all the way to the left, spaces
are automatically inserted so the split text starts just below where itprocedure
was before. I find this saves some time when splitting up long
calls and other long lines.

Okay, the second suggestion sounded good, so I tried it.
On WDSC v7 Under >Windows >Preferences > LPEX Editor > User Key
Actions I added Alt-Shift-S for key and splitAndShift for Action,
clicked on Apply and then OK and then tried out hold Alt, press
shift press S and I nothing happens until I get out of the source I
see a message that Alt-Shift-S is not a valid action key.
Sorry - should have been more clear (and tested). I had thought that if
you pressed Alt+Shift+S when in the Key textbox it would fill in a-s-s
for
you, but I was wrong about that. Anyway, even if that was true my
instruction wasn't clear that the key combo should be pressed rather than
typing the string. For future reference, if you type a valid key combo,
the 'translation' will show up beside the input textbox. So, when I've
typed a-s it says Alt+S, and then once the -s is added the 'translation'
says Alt+Shift+S. Also, for more info about these key combos (like how
to
restrict the combo to certain situations, type '?keyAction' without
quotes
on the lpex command line.

Adam
