Date format in table view -- WDSCI-L

Hello all,

For the table view, where would I set the format for "Last modified" column?
Mine shows up as:
Saturday, June 30, 2007 1:33:18 o'clock PM EDT
I find that a bit long.
I've seen screen shots with different formats, so I know it can be changed but I can't find a preference for it.
