If there is no preference in Windows->Preferences, then I think there is
only one way to 'set' LPEX options permanently. This involves creating an
'editor profile'. I think Adrian has posted some links to articles about
this in the past. There are also examples in the WDSC help. I haven't
done this myself, but I'm hoping to take a crack at it eventually.

This would only be a work around because something is broken
or not set correctly in their installs. I just don't get why it works

I think you mentioned in the original post that you thought upgrades might
have fixed it for you. Are you at the same release level as these other
developers? If not, that may be the first place to look.
