If you have the option to use remote desktop that would take care of most
of the security considerations with the firewall. I think in most cases
port 23 is blocked. I access WDSC by authenticating to the
VPN then I remote desktop to my PC at work where I have WDSC loaded.
Basically, this gives me all the functionality that I get at work without
having to maintain WDSC on my home computer.

I believe that is standard telnet, correct?
what functions would be limited if port 23 were closed on my firewall
I access remotely, security dow not like that port open at all!
