Peter,

IBM does not provide a method of uninstalling except for
uninstalling/deleting
the location the extension points to.

You can manually remove the reference to the extension location from the
platform.xml but be sure to back it up before editing since any errors
will
have unexpected results.

The issue you are having has been fixed and will be on the next CD
which should be available June 15th.

Thank you.

Re: [WDSCI-L] RSE Extensions acting strangely

Jason,

I checked the config, and I'm indeed on the latest version (6.1.1).

the extension location was there, so no problem.

When I tried to disable it and enable it again, I got an error regarding
"unpredictable results":

"Requested operation cannot be performed because it would invalidate the
current configuration. See details for more information.
TurnOver Extensions for WDSC (5.40.20060116) requires plug-in
"com.ibm.etools.iseries.core (6.0.0)", or compatible.

I know this is not the correct forum for TurnOver questions, but could
this have anything to do with my problem at hand?

Is there any way to delete / remove an extension location? there's no
"uninstall" option.

Finally, I think the problem does not lie with the extensions themselves,
because the message monitoring works on one system (dev) but not on the
other (prod).

Is there some setting that I can check on my *MSGQ object?

Thanks,

Re: [WDSCI-L] RSE Extensions acting strangely

Peter,

Are you on the latest version of RSE Extensions, version 6.1.1?
If you do not have the following folder you should download to the latest
version.
C:\Program Files\SoftLanding\RSE
Extensions\eclipse\plugins\com.softlanding.rse.extensions_6.1.1

Do you have a "C:\Program Files\SoftLanding\RSE Extensions\eclipse"
extension location in your WDSc 7 product configuration window?

Have you tried opening your IDE using the -clean option?

I cannot think of anything else that would be causing you problems. No one

else is reporting problems.

Thank you.
