Version 7 selects WAS 6.1 development server by default. You can manually
install from four different versions: WAS Express 5.1, WAS 5.1, WAS 6.0, and
WAS 6.1.

I think you can install multiple instances of the server development
environments, so you coud keep 6.1 and add 5.1 to support your older
applications.

Subject: Re: [WDSCI-L] WAS Server 6.1 on WDSCi 6.0

Don't put me on the stand... shouldn't have said "testify"!
I installed 6.0 and 6.1 in V7, not WDSc 6.0 and apologize if
I got your hopes up. I remember the RPU Optional Programs
update, but it went to get WAS 6.0.25, not 6.1. It was the
extra step in installing from CDs for 7.0 where I had to
mount a separate CD to pick up the 6.1 server environment...

I can testify to the install part-- our server is at 6.0
(Express) and, figuring we'll probably take a look at 6.1,
I've installed it without a problem. Haven't actually done
a "Run on server" but would expect it to be okay... maybe
someone else will chime in.
