Question on Using WDSc for web-design and ftp'ing

Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing, but every time I make
changes to a web-page and use WDSc to up load it via ftp, it creates the
whole directory structure from file all the way back to the project
directory! Even if on the ftp screen I tell it where to put the files. So
I'm having to get out of WDSc and into an ftp program to ftp my changes.

And changing the directory structure on the server is not an option.

What I wind up with is "My Base Dir\WebContent\(my objects)" where what I
want is "My Base Dir\(my objects)" and they work just fine there. Today I
had another directory that was at the level of "WebContent" that had two
other dir's in it and I was only interested in moving the object to a
directory I had created. Well it did that just fine except it created
within my newly created directory the other two directories them my
object. Even though I had drilled down into the folders to the objects
and selected just them!

I hope I'm missing something because this make the ftp for me useless (and
it could be so handy to do it all from there).
