Thanks Chenghui but your directory path reference was to a XP machine. I am
running a Vista Ultimate machine. When I launched the Installation Manager
from the .exe on the Disk 1 it appeared to work until it got to where it
actually began the install and then I got the error message that it could
not find the Installation Manager. Someone is not telling you the whole
truth. I have one simple question: Is V7 supported on Vista - yes or no? I
don't want to waste any more time on non-supported software from either side
of the river.

Delete folder "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\IBM\Installation Manager" if
it exist. Then right-click the launchpad.exe (in disk1) and select Run
as administrator to begin install.

Thanks.

[WDSCI-L] Install Question V7

I cleaned out the WDSC & Installation Manager Directories and am attempt
to
reinstall onto my Vista Ultra laptop. Get error message that it can't find
the Installation Manager. Obviously there is something in the registry or
some other secret place that I need to clean up before the install process
things it has a clean machine. A February IBM memo published in this
formum
said that IBM was going to support Vista at the Ultra level.

What do I need to clean up before I can reinstall?????
