Hugh,

Can't help you about the first part of your enquiry.

To stop the RSE Server job, you do this from RSE.
Right-click one of the subsystems (iSeries Objects, iSeries Commands,
etc.), and select Release Interactive Job from the context menu.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

I've encountered something strange when starting RSE server on the
iSeries.

If I only specify the connection name, the command fails. I look at
help
and it tells me the connection fails on the ip and port number being
used
by RSE on my pc.

But if I specify the very same remote location and port number on the
command itself, it works. I only realized this by chance after pouring
over ptfs and open ports on the firewall all morning.

Any explanation for this behavior would be greatly appreciated.

Also, now that I've started RSE server, how do I stop it?

Thanks,

Hugh
