The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Hi Justin,
While you are changing the externally described file, you may want to check
the option of refreshing cache. This can be found in
Winodws->Preferences->Remote Systems->iSeries->Program Verifiers. Check
the box with "Refresh Cache".
This will ensure that the verifier and the outline view pick up the
external descriptions from the host.
Once you are done with changing the externally described files, you should
uncheck this option for performance reasons.
Regards,
Nazmin Haji

I have added new records/fields to an externally-described display file
but the Verify does not see them. Under v6, clearing the cache would
solve the problem but it does not with v7.
How do I get Verify to see the new records/fields?
